The project involved the redesign and expansion of the information architecture of Harmonia Mentis, a website for doctors and mental health specialists belonging to the Angelini Pharma group.

1 // WORKSHOP

To carry out the project, we conducted workshops with the main countries involved (Italy, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Portugal, Turkey, and Russia) in order to define objectives and personas.

All workshops were divided into three phases:

1 // Target identification

2 // Identification of Main Activities, Needs, and Pain Points

3 // Needs prioritization/voting

02 // NEW INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE AND WIREFRAMES

Based on the users’ needs and requirements that emerged from the workshops, six new sections were created:

  • Patient Stories

  • Key Events

  • Disease Area

  • Product

  • Personal Area

  • Contacts

03 // DESIGN SYSTEM

A consistent Design System was developed, starting from the simplest elements, such as atoms, and then creating molecules and organisms that ultimately formed our pages.

04 // MOCK UP

The UI and Design System were implemented on the wireframes, also creating a navigable prototype.

Based on users’ needs, a content personalization tool was developed. Through a few simple questions, it enables the identification of tailored content for each user.

05 // USER TEST

Thanks to the navigable prototype, user tests were conducted in order to validate the project.

Users matching our target audience were identified, including a general practitioner, a psychiatrist, and a pediatrician.

The tests consisted of two phases:

1 / Autonomous exploration of the homepage using the thinking aloud methodology

2 / Task testing with three assigned tasks:

// Task 1: Save a case study to bookmarks
// Task 2: Register for an event
// Task 3: Use the personalization tool

For each task, both the completion time and the number of clicks required to complete it were measured.

The testing phase allowed us to validate most of the design decisions made during the project planning stage following the workshops.
